Atmosphere: Small restaurant with limited dine in seating and a small bar area with additional seating. Service: Friendly staff and overall good service. Our main dishes came out a bit apart, but not a big issue. Forgot a drink that was ordered as well. Food: This is where the place shines! Wow! The beef samosas were cooked perfectly and very flavorful. The peanut butter soup with local African chicken was excellent. The fufu paired perfectly and made for a delicious meal. The spicy beef suya meal was also fantastic. The spice creeps up on you with that dish. Good portion sizes as well.

Their food is always amazing, I had the okra soup with fufu this time and last time I had the egusi soup with fufu. Theres always the perfect amount of spice and the fufu is so smooth. The palm wine is wonderful. This is one of my favorite places and I can't wait to come again.

Delicious food. This is the best African food I’ve had! I took my mom here for her birthday and she really enjoyed the food. The ladies were so kind too. Looking forward to going again soon.

Authenticity at it's finest. Real crayfish used. Cow skin. Goat skin. Tripe. Goat meat, etc. The owner is nice and personable. Customer service is great. A little slow. I wish that the food was spicier and that they served pepper sauce with the puff puff, meat pies and samosas. I loved the Amala and Abula. Such a Yoruba delicacy. The best jollof rice that I have ever had at a restaurant. Chicken legs is fresh. But the samosas are fried too hard. Puff puff too oily and should be asked if wanted sprinkled with powder sugar. Because I'm used to eating it as savory with kala/ pepper sauce not as a dessert. I also asked for pepper to go but was given tomato. Some of us Americans know Nigerian cuisine. Don't play us. Need more drink selections such as juices Overall will come again. Thank you for using authentic Nigerian spices such as crayfish. I love that they let you get half half soups. My sister got half okra and half egusi because she couldn't make up her mind. I also love the bowls she serves food out of and the takeaway bowls. She gives plenty of food for sharing portions. Edit: I spend like $200 to $500 here every month. I don't know if it's the new chef's but I hate the burnt plantains. Too sweet. Even when I ask for the plantains to be green and not ripe or dodo. I threw 3 orders in the trash today. 4/2/25! Also the meat is lacking. I've been getting all bones and little soup portion due to big gigantic bones. I know that the business is successful and thriving but I wish she would be more hands on again.

Food was pretty good. I got the peanut butter soup and egusi, both were a little different than what I’ve had at other places and that’s okay.(I’m American) It was very good and had a great serving of protein compared to other places. My chicken wings in my peanut butter soup were extremely rubbery. I also had the spicy wings. I did not enjoy only because I couldn’t handle the spicy. The flavor was good. Unfortunately there was an animal smell in the restaurant. As a pet owner this smell was obviously coming from the cat cafe next door. Overall good. Only major complaint being the chicken

Nigerian food is hard to find in KC, but we are glad to have stumbled upon Teetasty. As first timers, we tried a few different dishes ( pictured). Overall, the food was good! The Spicy Coocnut Rice was 8/10, Jollof Rice 6.5/10, Puff Puff 9/10, Spinach 8/10, Whole Fish 2/10, Beef Suya 4/10. Our least favorite dishes were the fish and suya. The fish lacked flavor, and it wasn't fully cooked, so we ended up throwing it away ( very heartbreaking considering the price). The suya spice was amazing but I could not get over the burnt meat. I even came back and ordered it again, still burnt! Ive had suya from a million places ( Nigeria to France to USA), so i have an idea of what its supposed to taste like. So perhaps it was meant to be that way. The service was nice. There was one server, and she was very welcoming and kind. The atmosphere was clean and relaxing. We will definitely be back!

A hole-in-the-wall Nigerian spot in Kansas City… Authentic and delicious food. So FRESH and excellently spiced. A classic to try is the Efo Riro - but can’t go wrong with Egusi either. Don’t forget the fufu!!
